who we are
The Side Door Cafe is a coffee house/game room open to young adults (18+). It is a safe, fun, open environment where people can hang out, socialize, unwind, and get to know other young adults. It is also a safe place to ask questions and discuss the concerns about life that we all have. All are welcome!
We also have amazing coffee drinks and good food every week.

The Compass
​The compass is a group where young adults meet and can ask questions about culture, life, and other relevant issues where a biblical Christian Worldview is presented in light of the topics discussed. It's an open discussion format where everyone is free to share their thoughts and consider what the Bible may say about the issues of the day.
All young adults are welcome - we respect and enjoy hearing from those with a wide variety of backgrounds and beliefs.. ​

Friday night hangs
Friday night coffee house hang out nights at the side door Cafe are a safe fun environment where young adults can gather to unwind, connect, have meaningful discussions and connect with others. We gather in our cafe/game room downstairs at Northgate Church on Friday nights at 7pm. Access of the coffeehouse is on the right hand side of the building down the steps and you'll spot our "side door" by the playground!

Meet the Team
Hi, I'm Dan and this is my wife Lisa. We have attended and served at Northgate Church during our 25 years of marriage. I have my purple belt in Jiu Jitsu and love to train. I have used my techniques on deer as part of my job as a PA Game Warden :) . We are the parents of two boys in their 20s. After they graduated high school and made it through COVID, we saw a need to provide a safe space where young adults could hangout, have a good time and connect with others. It has also led to many deep, meaningful discussions so we started a side group called Compass to go more deeply into topics and provide a Biblical perspective. We’d love to have you join us on Fridays!
Hi, I'm Aaron! I've began attending Northgate Church since early 2023. October of that year, I fully committed my life to Jesus. I have a wife and two beautiful children. I have an extensive background in the coffee industry which led me to serving Side Door Cafe. It was a perfect way to share my passion for coffee and love for Jesus. My prayer for the young adults is that it is a safe place for you all to come and hang out and have open discussions about Biblical truth.
